<Dear Ethics Committee members,
Patient’s inclusion to the study was done on 12 March 2004. 861 patients were recruited in Europe, USA and Israel. In Israel were recruited 118 patients in 4 medical centers.
At the Hadassah Medical Center were recruited 27 patients. 5 patients out of this amount died during a first week from brain injury (all cases were reported to the Helsinki Ethic Committee).
21 patients finished the clinical follow-up (6 months after the injury). Due to patient return to her native country (Chechnya) before the follow-up visit after 6 months, her follow-up was not finished. This patient defined as LOST TO FOLLOW-UP.
We don’t have still reports of all SAE concerning medication for the patients, entered the study in Israel. When the investigators in Israel and abroad thought about possible relation between SAE and the study medication, the separate report was delivered to the Committee.
Due to requirement to perform the administrative actions related to the end of the study as queries replay, CRF updating, logs completing, we need to ask to evaluate the study. The expected date of the end of the study is the first quarter of 2005.
