Если вы знаете, как правильно произнести каждое слово из этого стихотворения, значит, вы говорите по-английски лучше, чем 90% носителей английского языка в мире. Один француз, пытаясь осилить этот текст, заявил, что предпочел бы шесть месяцев вкалывать на тяжелых работах, чем прочитать вслух шесть строчек. Не верите? Попробуйте сами.
Dearest creature in creation,
Study English pronunciation.
I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse, and worse.
I will keep you, Suzy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy.
Tear in eye, your dress will tear.

(Mind the latter, how it's written.)

Won't it make you lose your wits,

It's a dark abyss or tunnel:

Housewife, verdict and indict.
Finally, which rhymes with enough -
Though, through, plough, or dough, or cough?
Hiccough has the sound of cup.
My advice is to give up!!!

Странно, я не совсем поняла вообще идеи, потому что само по себе стихотворение - вроде не сложнее обычной речи, но вопрос произношения (хорошего или плохого) проверяется уже по первым фразам говорящего, не важно, будет это проза или стихи)))))) Я, например, прочитать могу - без проблем, но я же знаю, что _у__меня_ это прозвучит не так, как у англичанина ((
